catching up
We really had no idea what to expect and were a little nervous, given how thin the schedule was for activities. But, the event was packed! Lots of the community festivals around here are also the primary fundraising opportunity for local businesses and clubs and also are timed to coincide with class reunions. So, even though the schedule looked thin to us, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the beer garden felt pretty much like a big reunion, with people greeting each other catching up on old times.
W stayed clear of the rides on the midway but did support the local Lions Club, 4H, and VFW by consuming a pork burger, hot dog, and a few beers.
This is the BINGO booth. It was pretty serious business.
There wasn't a live band or a lot of dancing by the time we left. But the DJ was rocking, playing some polka along with Taylor Swift and I'm sure that the party got pretty crazy after we left.
