Have you heard?

I don't know if you know about this, but the Twins got a new baseball stadium, cleverly named Target Field. And - just in case you've been hiding under a rock in the dungeon of a tornado shelter and haven't heard - the Twins won their home opener today against the Boston Red Socks, 5-2.

I understand that most people fiercely believe that baseball should be played outdoors but I have serious doubts about the wisdom of an outdoor stadium in Minnesota. Today was beautiful, about 60 and just a little overcast all day. But let me just say, the average temperature for today is 47, and we're still not in the clear as far as snow and freezing temperatures are concerned. Not to mention, rain throughout the summer, blazing heat and early snow.

I've heard people love it, and we have tickets for Wednesday so I won't disparage too much about the stadium...but, despite my Minnesota blood, I'll admit - I'm only a fair weather fan.
